Lan Hazal implores Lark (as "Vlad") to find Jessel Tarra'az and preserve the Mabar manifest zone. Alastair Buchanan thanks the party for infiltrating the Bloody Blade Shrine and promises a good word for Pyramus. Nazari apologizes for calling in the King's Swords early, but is reassured by Captain Buchanan. Lark is arrested alongside the rest of the cultists as the party leaves.
Cinder and Talos are greeted by Pierce at Merrix d'Cannith's apartment. He brings them to Merrix. Cinder learns most of Merrix's immediate family was killed in Cyre during the Mourning. They talk about Kinetic Warforged, and Cinder lies saying he is the only one left. Cinder agrees to help Merrix from time to time at his factory. In return, Merrix promises to help Pyramus with his legal troubles.
At the Red Hammer Inn, Cinder approaches Scythe for information about Hazal Smelting. He learns about employee movement and a shift change to a "skeleton crew" that occurs at 8pm. Scythe also blames the party for Pyramus's predicament and demands "blood money" for Cinder keeping company with "slavers".
Lark becomes worried when Pyramus doesn't return to the Glum Gryphon. She transforms into Gristle and heads to Callestan in Lower Dura, where she meets with Gristle's Daask contacts. She is unable to find out anything useful.
The Sharn Inquisitive is delivered covering the undead attack at the Diamond Theatre. It also mentions the arrest of a Warforged for killing a man. The Party infers that it is a reference to Pyramus and Jonas, the man previously detained in Wultram's Apartment.
Lark disguises herself as Merrix d'Cannith and travels to a Sharn City Watch garrison to gather intel. She speaks with Eskridge Callaway and discovers Pyramus killed Jonas. Pyramus informed the Watch it was due to Jonas's imminent transformation into a ghoul, but provided no further exculpatory details.
Back at the Glum Gryphon, Lark gets Grimnir's advice on helping Pyramus. He cautions her against a deceptive solution, given the differences between warforged and changelings.
After failed healing attempts, the Party ask Pyramus to take Jonas to a Jorasco house while they investigate the rest of Wultram's Apartment.
The party (plus Grimnir, Gus, and Pyramus) head to the Glum Gryphon to decompress after the attack at the theatre. After some debate, they decide to open the bag of holding in an alleyway. Besides learning that the bag is of House Kundarak make, they find nothing but sloughed off rotten flesh.
Cinder works his first day at the Red Hammer Inn in the Cogs. He works for the warforged Crucible and Blue. Cinder kicks back with fellow kinetic warforged Boreal and Root, as well as the anti-fleshy Scythe. He is invited to expand his horizons by seeing a play with the reforged Sprocket and the playwright Pyramus.
